KML - это Язык Знаний, Knowledge Markup Language. Он нужен для создания глобальной Открытой Базы Знаний. А первым шагом на этом пути является разработка стандарта Языка Знаний и удобного инструмента написания Знаний. KML должен обеспечить высокий уровень структуризации и связанности знаний. Необходимо разработать ряд инструментов по конвертации знаний из KML в web-ориентированные и издательские форматы (HTML, TeX/LaTeX, PostScript) и обратно. Также нужна оболочка для навигации по Знаниям.
